Pretty Hood

Born and raised in West London, Pretty Hood brings her Eritrean, East African flavour to the DJ scene with an undeniable passion for the Drill, UK Rap and Hip Hop culture.

Her deep knowledge of UK and US rap with the ability to spin Dancehall, Afrobeats, RnB, UK Garage, Amapiano and Old Skool Classics has earned her a residency at London night So Fresh and So Clean as well as frequent sets at Boxpark, Shoreditch. Shutting it down internationally with a legendary set at Yard in Paris, Pretty Hood has also DJ’d at movie premiere’s such as “Nope” (Daniel Kaluuya / Keke Palmer) & “The Woman King” (Viola Davis).

2022 saw Pretty Hood frequently requested to play at popular brand events for Nike, Size, JD, Levis, The GRM Gala, GRM NFL Launch, The Grand Master Flash Party as well as headline shows for B Lovee, Novelist, Millyz, Lavida Loca, Tiny Boost & Real Artillery.

Pretty Hood brings her infectious personality to the renowned Rinse FM, where she hosts the stations ‘Rap Show’ weekly on Sundays at 9pm. Pretty Hood has always championed new and up and coming UK Rap talent, previously hosting specialist shows on stations such as Pulse88 and The Beat London.
