Chieka is one of London’s foremost Highlife, Afrobeat and Afro Funk DJ’s. dedicated to exploring themes of the African dance music in all forms.
Developing his own style in the London club scene he has taken his sound a step further beyond Afrobeat to include Afro Funk and Highlife to Electronica, playing in venues around London, and festivals across Europe.
Chieka has been on several musical pilgrimages to Onitsha, the spiritual home of Afrobeat and Highlife music, meeting many of the old musicians and sourcing the original recordings.
