Great Gatsby Party at Two Temple Place
We were asked to curate the perfect melee of music at a Great Gatsby themed party at the spectacular Two Temple Place. This would include arrival music, a band to bubble away during the champagne reception, live background dinner music and a party band and DJ to help the guests dance into the early hours.
Dressed as the ladies & gentlemen of the 1920s, the guests were welcomed into the venue by our fantastic pianist, Olly. He serenaded guests as they were papped on the beautiful oak staircase, and enjoyed their first drinks in the Lower Gallery.
Olly was succeeded by the sensational Sarah & the Swingers, a band that combined vocals, guitar, saxophone & piano to perform a set of Postmodern Jukebox songs including Beyoncé’s ‘Single Ladies’ in their unique jazz style! The band were joined on stage by the host’s wife who, being a singer herself, lead the guests in singing Happy Birthday. She then performed a surprise rendition of ‘Hello Dolly!’ with the band (rehearsed only moments before the host’s arrival!) An incredible moment to be a part of.
Olly returned to the piano to play for guests during their ascent up the Grand Staircase to dinner. The Great Hall was filled to capacity with table of guests enjoying Bubble Food’s incredible menu. Sarah and her band reduced to a 3-piece to perform light background traditional jazz to entertain the guests.
After dinner, we cued the fantastic Castaways to play the headline set in the Lower Gallery. Guests flooded the dance floor as the band performed everything from Prince to Pointer Sisters.
Last but absolutely not least, DJ Gem took the night to another level with her closing set of party songs, and some amazing client requests. The dancefloor was full until 3am.
It was an utterly fabulous evening at Two Temple Place. Working with all of the suppliers, Bubble Food, Lightning Events, Hayford & Rhodes and the venue to create a superb event for our client. As Gatsby himself said “A little party never killed nobody!”
