The National Trust, Winter Lights Festival
After a barn storming 2016 season, Euphonica’s ‘Fresh Cut Brass‘ were chuffed to be asked back to Anglesey Abbey for the National Trust’s annual Winter Lights Festival 2017. The music brief was upbeat, jazzy covers; winter warmers for all ages.
We focused Fresh Cut Brass on their more soulful repertoire – incredible though they are, the Dr Dre covers remained sheathed. Songs from Bruno Mars to Chic, The Jackson 5 to Ed Sheeran were arranged in their inimitable brass style. What better soundtrack to set the scene in an illuminated forest than some bold brass tunes… Winter blues be gone!
